So I tried Windows 7. Now, remind me again; why is this not called Vista SP3?
Yes, they changed the way the task bar looks, but...
Is Microsoft just desperately trying to dump the "Vista" -brand and all the negative associations with it? How is this different from Microsoft's "Mojave experiment"?
I concur. The main advantage of Windows 7 for average users is a better codec package. Other than that, it is Vista with some lipstick. Vista is vastly superior to XP even though many people were resistant to change, but Windows 7 is mainly clever marketing. Many die-hard XP fans are going to jump on Windows 7 and say it is superior to Vista, but it is virtually identical to Vista Service Pack 2. However, I did pre-order one copy of the Mojave 7 Upgrade in case I change my mind and find a compelling reason to install it.
